"It all began when I received the prints for my wedding album, obviously not shot by me. (Trust me, it?s a little hard trying to photograph your own wedding). What was supposed to be the most special day of my life, had been reduced to a mere documentation with no emotion whatsoever. It didn?t reflect who we were as people, or what we loved and enjoyed. And hence, I made it a point to make sure that this didn?t happen to family or friends around me. So what started as a hobby, has slowly taking over as a career option. A good one, at that. And when you start doing what you truly love, I guess it shows.A Sir JJ School of Arts Alumnus, I started my career as an Art Director and Designer to stay close to my first love, painting. A little later, I bought myself my first DSLR, and discovered that painting doesn?t necessarily need a brush caked with paint. And being in advertising, I was lucky enough to have worked with some of the best photographers in the industry, picking up a little something from each one I worked with along the way. Over time, I?ve managed to develop a distinct style that gives more importance to capturing the moment, the emotion involved, rather than just capturing a beautiful frame. To me, it?s about the story, about being in that moment; the joy, nerves, laughter and tears, as they happen.I live in Mumbai with my lovely wife, Pooja, and two kids: my 4-month-old daughter, Myraa, and my 2-year-old Labrador, Phantom."
